Nepal, one of the very best ecotourism destinations, has nine national parks, four wildlife reserves, and three conservation areas, all within about 15,000 square kilometers. Situated in the Terai region—a lowland belt extending from the Indian border to the Bhabhar and Siwalik ranges—the area is occupied with tall grasslands and varied forests, including riverine and hardwood Sal forests.
Geographically, Nepal is divided into three portions: mountains, hills, and plains. Nepal comprises an area of 147,181 square kilometers and encompasses a hugely diversified topography and climate, ranging from the subtropical jungles of the Terai to the arctic highlands of the Himalayas. In total, with nearly 19 percent of its land area covered by protected areas, Nepal presents an enormous tapestry of ecosystems, making this country one of the finest destinations for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Our jungle safaris in Nepal come with various immersive experiences like nature walks, jeep safaris, river boating, and bird watching. We believe in ethical wildlife tourism and so do not offer elephant riding or any other similar experience. Instead, we focus on respectful and enriching experiences amid the natural beauty and varied ecosystems of Nepal.
